Discount Propane · Durham Region
Propane Delivery in Clarington, Bowmanville and Courtice
Clarington is the largest municipality we serve by area, and it is the most varied. Discount Propane delivers from the suburban streets of Courtice on the Oshawa border right through to the farms north of Highway 7 and the hamlets scattered along the Ganaraska edge.
- Automatic delivery
- Tank rentals & installation
- 24/7 emergency fills
That spread matters, because a Courtice customer and an Enniskillen farm want completely different things from a propane supplier. One wants a reliable cylinder swap for a fireplace and a generator; the other wants a supplier who will get a tanker down a concession road in February and who understands crop-drying volume in October. We route Clarington accordingly.

Where we deliver in Clarington
We deliver across the full Municipality of Clarington. The urban centres — Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle and Orono — are on regular routing, along with Bowmanville’s newer subdivisions north of Concession Street and the Courtice developments along Trulls and Townline.
Rural Clarington is where most of our volume goes. We serve the hamlets of Enniskillen, Hampton, Tyrone, Haydon, Solina, Maple Grove, Mitchell Corners, Burketon Station, Leskard, Kendal, Kirby, Newtonville and Bond Head, and the farms and rural properties along Regional Road 57, Liberty Street North, Taunton Road, Concession Roads 3 through 8, Old Scugog Road and the Highway 35/115 corridor.
Who we deliver to in Clarington
Farms are the defining customer here. North Clarington is working agricultural land, and that means barn and shop heat through the winter, greenhouse and livestock facility supply, and — critically — grain and crop drying in the autumn. Ontario and Quebec account for over 80% of Canadian agricultural propane use, and drying demand is concentrated into a few weeks from mid-October through November. If you dry corn, book your autumn volume early; that window is when regional supply is tightest and when timing your fill matters most.
Rural residential properties across Enniskillen, Tyrone, Solina and Haydon run whole-home propane heat, generally on 500 or 1,000 gallon tanks.
Courtice and Bowmanville suburban customers are largely appliance-based — fireplaces, ranges, pool heaters and standby generators alongside natural gas heat.
Delivery scheduling for Clarington
Clarington runs on its own leg east of the Oshawa route. Bowmanville and Courtice are served frequently; the rural north and east concessions are routed in scheduled sweeps so that we are not sending a tanker up Regional Road 57 for a single stop.
For farm accounts, we plan autumn drying volume separately from winter heating — talk to us in September about what you expect to dry, and we will make sure the tank and the schedule are sized for it rather than reacting in the middle of harvest. Residential automatic delivery is scheduled on degree-days against your own usage history. Emergency and out-of-gas service is available 24/7 across the municipality.
“I have worked with Gary for almost 10 years. Gary and his crew are amazing! I never have to worry about running out of propane as they are always there. Here’s to another 10 years.”

Clarington propane questions
Do you deliver propane to Bowmanville and Courtice?
Yes — both are on our regular Clarington routing, along with Newcastle and Orono. We also deliver throughout rural Clarington, including Enniskillen, Hampton, Tyrone, Haydon, Solina, Burketon, Kendal, Kirby and Newtonville.
Do you supply propane for crop drying in Clarington?
Yes. Agricultural propane for grain and crop drying is a core part of our Clarington business. Drying demand across Ontario is concentrated from mid-October through November, and that is also when regional supply is tightest — so we plan farm volume in September rather than during harvest. Talk to us about tank sizing and a delivery schedule that matches your acreage and your dryer’s burn rate.
How much does it cost to fill a 100 lb propane tank?
A 100 lb tank holds about 89.5 litres when filled to 80% capacity. At $0.80 per litre that is roughly $72 plus HST; at $1.00 per litre roughly $89 plus HST; at $1.20 per litre roughly $107 plus HST. See our propane prices page for fill costs across all common tank sizes.
Why is my propane tank only filled to 80%?
Propane is stored as a liquid and expands significantly as it warms, so every tank is filled to 80% of its water capacity to leave vapour space for expansion. This is required under Ontario’s propane code. A gauge reading of 80% means your tank is full — book your next delivery at around 25 to 30%.
